Oprah's mag is my hands down favourite: crisp writing, divine layout, inspired shopping suggestions.

One question though, doesn't the mag's quasi-religious message of self improvements seem at odds with its object lust?

Allure

Allure is the ultimate beauty bible. It's got some great tips and is always on top of the newest products. In recent years, advertiser's influence has become much more noticeable. Gone is the Allure of the past. Reading it was like talking to the savviest woman in the ladies' room.
