This one's a guilty pleasure! Every week, I promise I'm going to give it up, but by 5.00 on Tuesday I've usually got the new one read cover to cover. Even my boyfriends sneaks a peek!
Best Sections: Circle of Shame Skip it: TV Listings (nothing beats the ST Culture!) Miss it: Overpaid, Oversexed, Overheard (Ten Questions can't match it)
While nothing beats the speed of blogging, magazines will always have a place in my heart and mind. As a child, I learned to read out of Time and National Geographic.
The first magazine I bought for myself was probably Seventeen. I devoured each issue, reading it from cover to cover. If I'd been born in a different time, I would have loved to have
been a teen contributor like Sylvia Plath. Ironically by the time I was actually 17, my tastes had changed and I was a regular reader of Vogue and Glamour; the first for fashion and the
second for sex. Reading Glamour was an education in itself. I was never a Cosmo girl though. I always thought it was a bit too trashy. Still do.
